Product Attribtues represent the configurable qualities of a Product. Attributes appear in the Configuration Form of the Catalog Item Preview Panel.
There are three types of Catalog Item Attributes:

A 'Number' Attribute provides the user with a number entry field. For Example, the wheel requires a Rim Size.
A 'Part Reference' associates a Catalog Item via either a literal reference or a Tag representing one or many Catalog Items. In the example above, the Metal may be included via a Part Reference Attribute containing literal values representing each Metal Material:

When Editing a Catalog Item, the order of the Attributes can be re-ordered by way of the handle on the left. Drag and drop executes a swap, as opposed to a re-ordering of attributes.
